Cover Legend

The cover picture shows an Arabidopsis flower. Promoter activity of the AtSGP1 gene, encoding a small G protein, was assessed by means of GUS histochemistry. It was observed in sepals, the style and connective tissue of anthers. Moreover, AtSGP1 expression was also localized to specialised cells such as mature stomata guard cells and the quiescent centre (QC). For further details, see paper by Bedhomme et al., pp.177-185 in this issue.
