Cover Legend

This year, UBC Press (Bilbao, Spain) publishes Volume 50 of The International Journal of Developmental Biology, a landmark representing over 50 years of independent knowledge sharing and publishing experience by scientists and for scientists. The three covers, each bearing a distinct title, correspond to the initiation of the three phases in the development of this journal. Thus, the journal familiarly known as the IJDB is a continuation from Volume 33 (1989) of Annals of Development/Anales del Desarrollo, published by the University of Granada (Spain). This in turn was a continuation, in part, from Vol. 8 (1960) of Annals of Anatomy/Anales de Anatomía, first published in 1952, also by the University of Granada. For more information, see the Editorial in the current issue, pp. 1-2.
