The cover picture shows three ephyrae (young medusae) of the cnidarian Aurelia aurita treated with a tyrosinase inhibitor. Ephyrae form by segmentation of the polyp body and transformation of polyp tissue into medusa tissue. The originally most apical positioned segment, shown at the base, has developed into an almost normal ephyra. The following two show with decreasing tendency ephyra and with increasing tendency polyp features. In particular, the sense organ of the ephyra displays features of a polyp tentacle.
