Cniwi expression in the male hydrozoan medusa. The image shows a whole mount in situ hybridization with antisense probes to the Cniwi gene coding sequence. The stained specimen is a male medusa of the hydrozoan Podocoryne carnea. The actual diameter of the medusa is 1-2 mm.
